Tastemaker 2022: Sodexo Seniors Chefs Elevate Dining in Denver

Sodexo Seniors proudly attended LeadingAge, the largest aging services conference in the U.S., from October 16-18 in Denver, Colorado. Attending LeadingAge was a great way for us to showcase our dining, integrated facilities management, and environmental services expertise to hundreds of leaders from across the spectrum of aging services. The conference also served as an ideal opportunity to continue building relationships with our existing clients and to demonstrate our support for many national aging associations. More than 160 people visited our trade show booth throughout the conference. In addition, CEO Zeta Smith was a featured guest on LeadingAge Live TV, an interactive conference talk show that features industry experts and a live studio audience. Among many topics, Zeta discussed our commitment to using technology and innovation to serve our clients as well as her vision for the future of the aging industry.

On October 18, we hosted our annual “Tastemaker” culinary tasting event at the Denver Opera House Complex. This year’s theme was Elevated “Mile High” Dining and featured 14 incredibly skilled Sodexo chefs from 11 Sodexo Seniors partner communities across the U.S. The chefs all prepared local Denver favorites, but with a unique Sodexo Seniors twist. Over 500 guests indulged at multiple culinary stations that included dishes like cantaloupe gazpacho with grilled peaches and pomegranate seeds, chili verde pork taquitos with fire roasted corn salsa, and cinnamon fried plantains. Guests were even given a taste of technology as they were served and attended to by a series of small robots. Altogether, both LeadingAge and Tastemaker were a great success. We are excited to embark on the future of senior living by continuing to transform the dining and hospitality experience for our residents across the U.S.
