The 2024 Innovation and Development Conference of Intelligent Medical Devices and Equipment was organized by a prestigious group of partners, consisting of the Shanghai University of Medicine & Health Sciences, Sinopharm Group, Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions, Shanghai Association of Medical Equipment’ s Branch for Medical Devices Supervision and Control Science, and China Food and Drug Promotion Association’s Branch for Hospital Equipment Innovation and Transformation. Held in Shanghai National Convention and Exhibition Center on April 11, this event was aimed to boost the advancement of “new quality productivity forces” and reinforce alignment with China’s forward-thinking “Healthy China” initiative. This conference, themed “Integration-Driven, Application-Focused,” centers on the convergence of medical and industrial technology innovation, fostering collaboration between industry and academia for enhanced educational outcomes. It delves into critical areas such as primary care enhancement, chronic disease management strategies, clinical translation, and practical applications. The discussions revolve around the industry’s evolving landscape, with the goal of amplifying the academic impact of Intelligent Medical Engineering within the national medical devices sector. It also strives to propel the discipline’s high-quality development.

At the conference, Sodexo TOPMED and Shanghai University of Medicine & Health Sciences formally established a strategic partnership. The event also celebrated the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the state-of-the-art Industry-Education Collaboration Practice Center and the debut of the joint educational materials for medical device education. This partnership embodies our joint vision to merge industry insights with academic rigor to drive innovative research and cultivate top-tier medical talent. Collaboratively, we strive to make significant contributions to the progression and enhancement of the medical and healthcare industry.
