How we do business

Founded in 1966 by Pierre Bellon, Sodexo has more than 425,000 employees worldwide. The Group’s development is built on fundamentals that unite our teams and give Sodexo its unique personality. These fundamentals are expressed through our values and ethical principles. More on our fundamentals.

Doing business in a globalized economy has become increasingly complex. In our business relations, our employees must work with multiple political, financial and economic systems and a wide array of regulations and cultural practices.
To ensure Sodexo’s irreproachable integrity in all our business dealings, we have adopted strict principles that were formulated in 2007 in a code entitled “Principles of Business Integrity”.

This code enshrines Sodexo’s beliefs and practices in the area of business integrity so that every employee understands and shares the Group’s commitment to business integrity. It is supported by resource documents that our teams can consult on a daily basis to guarantee a consistent approach throughout the Group.
