We're committed to contribute to the economic, social and environmental development of the cities, regions and countries in which we work. We recognise that there is economic disparity across our communities and are fully committed to supporting the 'levelling-up' agenda. Our employees are also enabled to support local fundraising and volunteering activity in the community.
Social impact pathway: our places
Colleague volunteering and fundraising
We have a proud history of supporting Stop Hunger, our charitable Foundation through employee volunteering and donations. We will continue this work, enabling 20% of our workforce to access volunteering and/or fundraising opportunities, both through Stop Hunger, and other charities close to our employees’ hearts.
Levelling Up
The business community will play a crucial role in realising the ambitions of the levelling up agenda. Sodexo’s purpose throughout its more than 50-year history has always been to contribute positively to the communities in which we live and work. This means that we are already doing a great deal to contribute towards the Levelling Up Goals. There is, however, always more we can do…
Supporting the social mobility agenda
We will provide career coaching mentoring opportunities across the UK and Ireland for non-Sodexo employees. We have already started this work through our mentoring programme with Generation Success.
Creating a positive impact on society and our environment
Our 2021 social impact pledge
Our social impact pledge sets out our priority areas and commitments as part of our wider social value strategy over the next three years. It sets out how we will deliver our pledges to create a healthier, greener, safe and more prosperous society across the UK and Ireland.
