Social impact pathway: our people
Promoting positive health and wellbeing
A focus on health and wellbeing has a positive impact on people every day. At Sodexo, the quality of life services we deliver at client sites help to provide working and living environments that truly look after the people who occupy them, making sure that everything under the roof works to nourish and support them.
Colleague volunteering and fundraising
We have a proud history of supporting Stop Hunger, our charitable Foundation through employee volunteering and donations. We will continue this work, enabling 20% of our workforce to access volunteering and/or fundraising opportunities, both through Stop Hunger, and other charities close to our employees’ hearts.
Working together with the Living Wage Foundation
The commitment means that Sodexo has implemented the UK and London Living Wage for all employees working in its head offices in London, Glasgow, Stevenage, Salford and Swindon. It also means that, wherever permitted, the company will submit a Living Wage alternative in all bids and will promote the adoption of the Living Wage to its clients.
Creating a positive impact on society and our environment
Our 2021 social impact pledge
Our social impact pledge sets out our priority areas and commitments as part of our wider social value strategy over the next three years. It sets out how we will deliver our pledges to create a healthier, greener, safe and more prosperous society across the UK and Ireland.
