What is ‘Scale-up Europe’ and why is it important?
Technology is a key enabler of human progress and for decades entrepreneurs, researchers and innovators have relied heavily on technology for information, knowledge sharing and communication. Technology also enables access to education and culture as well as international co-operation and improved sustainability.
We believe that investing in disruptive tech and supporting the future leaders of businesses around the world is critically important to develop the prosperity of our economies and societies.
This is why Sodexo is supporting ‘Scale-up Europe’ which aims to support tech start-ups across Europe to thriving businesses which will introduce cutting edge technology and create millions of jobs across the continent.
What is Scale-Up Europe?
Scale-Up Europe gathers a select group of 170+ of Europe’s leading tech founders, investors, researchers, corporate CEOs and government officials around the same goal: to accelerate the rise of global tech leaders born in Europe in the service of both progress and technological sovereignty.
Together, the group has committed a strategy and roadmap of 21 actions which will be presented to the European heads of state later this year and will support the European tech ecosystem to reach the next level.

Our involvement:
We are proud to join forces with political leaders, start-ups and European corporations in our support of Scale-up Europe.
We joined in March 2021 when the initiative was launched and Belen Mosocoso del Prado, Sodexo Chief Digital & Innovation Officer and Sodexo Ventures Board Member, has taken an active role in the initiative as co-sponsor leading the workstream on strengthening partnerships between startups and corporations.
