A responsible employer
Our success is built on a unique economic and social model: our ability to contribute to client and consumer satisfaction is primarily due to our employees’ professionalism and engagement.
As an employer, Sodexo is committed to providing employees with the means to grow and develop throughout their career and to foster diversity and inclusion. Sodexo fully respects its employees’ fundamental rights and is committed to ensuring their safety.
We recognise that companies have a responsibility to respect human rights as set out in the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
Sodexo recognises that companies impact on human rights in different ways:
-
Employees’ human rights through the employment relationship
-
Suppliers’ employees’ human rights through purchasing decisions
-
Consumer’s human rights through the goods and services sold
-
Local community members’ human rights through physical location
As a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact since 2003, Sodexo is committed to respecting the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work.
Sodexo is an Advanced level signatory of the UN Global Compact meeting the 24 criteria of the four core elements of the UN Global Compact: labour rights, human rights, anti-corruption and environment.
Sodexo acknowledges and respects the ILO Tripartite Declaration of Principles concerning Multinational Enterprises and Social Policy, as well as the employment and industrial chapter of the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises. Our approach is set out in the Sodexo Group Human Rights Policy.
