Among the recent awards received by Sodexo in Ireland during the past year
We have a clear focus on what quality means to us as a leading service provider of Food Services in Ireland and can demonstrate this through the numerous awards we have received over the past year.
Origin Green is Ireland’s food and drink sustainability programme.
Origin Green members include farmers and food businesses such as food and beverage manufacturers, retailers and foodservice operators.
2015: The team representing Sodexo won the Gold Medal and Best in Show at the Inaugural Contract Caterers Culinary Challenge, Catex 2015.
ISO14001:2015, OHSAS18001:2007 and ISO9001:2015. The certifications covers the whole of our UK and Ireland business (more than 2000 sites) for the provision of facilities management services, including catering. This is a true reflection of Sodexo's commitment to quality services, safety, health and the environment.
June 2014: Within Sodexo, people are at the heart of what we do. Our investment in our people helps us and our staff achieve the company and personal objectives set. In 2014 Sodexo were accredited the Excellence Through People award. Excellence Through People is Ireland’s only national human resource management scheme and is accredited by The National Standards Authority Ireland (NSAI).
Sodexo are proud to be one of the only contract catering organisations to work with suppliers whom are members of the Bord Bia Quality Assurance Scheme. This ensures we provide all Irish meats, eggs and potatoes to our customers nationwide which is in response to growing consumer concerns on the quality and origin of food offered to our customers and delivering a sustainable offer to our customers.
2014: Sodexo at eBay and Clongowes Wood College were finalists in the Best In House Catering category at the 2014 Hotel and Catering Gold Medal Awards. This is a highly contested award across the in-house catering sector and demonstrates our ongoing commitment across all business segments to deliver the highest quality of service to our customers.
2014: Sodexo at Allianz were winners in the Best Catering Job category at the 2014 National Hospitality Award. The award recognises the efforts of the local team on site who clearly understand the needs of their clients on a day to day basis.
Sodexo has achieved the “Happy Heart” Award in many site locations. The award states that the restaurant provides healthy options.
Sodexo Ireland was recognised for its commitment to food safety at the recent inaugural Food Safety Assurance Awards organised by the Irish Food Safety Professionals Association.
March 2014: Sodexo has been recognised as leading the way on the inclusion and progress of women in the workplace by winning the Global Award at the Opportunity Now Excellence in Practice Awards 2014.

January 2017: Sodexo was highly commended in the communication and engagement category for the successful pilot of its sustainable meals, Green & Lean, at eight independent schools. Sodexo is now extending the range of recipes and rolling them out to all independent schools where it provides food services.
November 2016: Sodexo is the first ever winner of the Business of the Year award for the category for organisations with turnover over £100m and a substantial operation in the region but without a head office in Greater Manchester. Sodexo was recognised for making a significant contribution to the region through employment, development and investment.
September 2016: Sodexo received the Best Process Improvement Initiative award at the CIPS Supply Management awards for its chilled product consolidation programme, which brought together the direct dairy and direct deli supply chains into a central distribution network. The result of this consolidation has removed 132,000 deliveries, 100,000 invoices and reduced 86 tonnes of CO2.
April 2016: Sodexo has been named in The Times Top 50 for Employers for Women for the third year in a row. The Times top 50 recognises the leading UK organisations which ensure their workplaces provide women with the opportunity to achieve their full potential.
Sodexo have engaged in a partnership with Good Food Ireland. The partnership provides us with the opportunity network in an arena of working with local artisan and supports suppliers activities throughout the year. Our partnership endorses Sodexo’s commitment to engaging with our local Irish supply chain as Good Food Ireland sets the standard for Food Experience in Ireland and promotes that standard at home and abroad. Good Food Ireland is putting Irish led Ingredient cuisine at every point from the Farm to Fork on the Map.
BICSc (The British Institute of Cleaning Science) works with its members to promote the cleaning industry and its status through the medium of education.

BIFM (British Institute of Facilities Management) represents the interests of those who practise facilities management and those who work in organisations supplying facilities management related goods or services. BIFM promotes awareness and understanding of the value of facilities management. Informing decision-makers at corporate and government level helps shape the future of facilities management.
Sodexo Group has been a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact since 2003, a strategic policy initiative for businesses committed to ten universally accepted principles across human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption. In 2011, Sodexo achieved the Global Compact Advanced Level meeting the 24 criteria on the four key elements of the initiative.
Sodexo has been accredited with the BITC mark the last November, highlighting our commitment to the ethical way Sodexo Works, as also demonstrating how dedicated we are to our CSR and the good work our people have been doing.
Sodexo Ireland is a member of the Repak scheme for packaging waste recycling. The Green Dot is the pan-European symbol, found on consumer packaging, that mean that the manufacturer of the product is committed to the recovery / recycling of the packaging by contributing to a Compliance Scheme i.e. member of Repak.
