In 2018, for the 8th year in a row, Sodexo was among the FORTUNE World’s Most Admired Companies.
Sodexo has ranked #6 on DiversityInc’s 2017 ‘Top 50 Companies for Diversity’ list.
In 2018, for the 14th straight year, Sodexo was named industry leader in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) provide a global ranking of the companies most advanced in the area of sustainable development. They are jointly compiled by the S&P Dow Jones Indices and RobecoSAM.)
In 2018, for the 11th consecutive year, Sodexo was ranked as the top-scoring company in its sector for its excellent sustainability performance, scoring 78% compared to an industry average of 39%.
Organic Soil Association: Despite the steady growth in demand for organic food over the past decade, some key sectors are still failing to meet demand. We are able to provide a variety of organic products for our clients.
We actively source Fairtrade products for our customers as they deliver real benefit to the farmers, ensuring they are guaranteed to receive a minimum price that covers the cost of production and an extra premium that is invested in the local community. We work closely with Fairtrade and take part in initiatives such as Fairtrade Fortnight.
We actively support the Ethical Trading initiative, which is working to improve pay and conditions for workers in farms and factories around the world. We condemn the use of child labour and ensure our suppliers have policies which prevent sourcing from areas where this practice is prevalent and where there is racial persecution.
WEConnect International, a corporate-led global non-profit organisation, helps build sustainable communities by empowering women business owners to succeed in local and global markets. Sodexo became a global member of WEConnect International as part of its own drive to diversify its supply chain.Through the partnership with WEConnect International Sodexo does not only achieve its own objective of enabling more women-led businesses to secure contracts across the group. As a corporate member of WEConnect International, Sodexo recommends woman business owners to become part of the WEConnect International network.
