April 2019. Sodexo has been named as one of The Times Top 50 Employers for Women for the sixth consecutive year. April 2019. Sodexo's Integrator team was commended for the implementation of a new online system for the completion of display screen equipment, health & safety training, personal risk assesments and 1:1 specialist health & safety advice in patnership with the Dept for Work and Pensions. This technology solution is now available to c. 84,000 employees across 800 locations including jobcentres, corporate hubs and back-of-house offices.

Sodexo has been awarded gold accreditation for corporate responsibility and sustainability through Zurich UK’s new Supplier Accreditation Scheme which has been launched to increase transparency in its supply chain by measuring the strength of its suppliers’ responsible business practices covering environmental impact, diversity and inclusion, workplace rights, governance and community activity. December 2017: Sodexo Defence at Colchester Garrison were announced as the runner up in the Best Waste Management Project (Food) category. The awards, supported by WRAP, recognise excellence in waste management and prevention in the foodservice industry.
November 2017: The partnership between Sodexo and its client, University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust, won the Partners in Healthcare category. Another winner was Sodexo’s permit controller at Royal Stoke University Hospital (part of UHNM) Jonathan Beardmore, who was awarded the Partnership Team Member of the Year, an award which recognises an individual’s exceptional contribution to the success of a partnership. May 2017: Sodexo’s Green & Lean sustainable meal project won the ‘Sustainability in Education Award’ at the recent Footprint Awards. Read the press release here.
January 2017: Sodexo was highly commended in the communication and engagement category for the successful pilot of its sustainable meals, Green & Lean, at eight independent schools. Sodexo is now extending the range of recipes and rolling them out to all independent schools where it provides food services.
November 2016: Sodexo is the first ever winner of the Business of the Year award for the category for organisations with turnover over £100m and a substantial operation in the region but without a head office in Greater Manchester. Sodexo was recognised for making a significant contribution to the region through employment, development and investment.
November 2016: Sodexo has achieved Investors in People silver status across its entire UK and Ireland business. Investors in People (IIP) provides a best practice people management standard, defining what it means to lead, manage and support people well for sustainable results. The IIP assessment measures organisations across nine areas. Sodexo scored particularly well in three areas: leading and inspiring people, living the organisation’s values and behaviours, and building capability.
September 2016: Sodexo received the Best Process Improvement Initiative award at the CIPS Supply Management awards for its chilled product consolidation programme, which brought together the direct dairy and direct deli supply chains into a central distribution network. The result of this consolidation has removed 132,000 deliveries, 100,000 invoices and reduced 86 tonnes of CO2.
September 2016: Sodexo won Event Caterer of the Year for its hospitality services at Fawley Meadows and Temple Island at Henley Royal Regatta at the Sports and Leisure Catering Awards.
June 2016: Sodexo Ireland won TFM (Total Facilities Management) Service Provider of the Year. The 18 categories in these awards recognise those that have made a positive contribution to the knowledge, practical application and communication of strategies to improve the sustainable performance of their premises, while adding to the core value of their clients business.
May 2016: Rugby Travel & Hospitality Limited, a joint venture between Sodexo and the Mike Burton Group , won the award for best Premium and VIP Ticketing for its work on Rugby World Cup 2015. Decided by global online ballot, the award considered price-value, included services and overall visitor experience – from discovery and purchase through to post-event handling.

The result of this consolidation has removed 132,000 deliveries, 100,000 invoices and reduced 86 tonnes of CO2.
November 2015: Sodexo was highly commended in the Employer of the Year award category. The judges felt it was important to highlight the excellent achievements of Sodexo in managing to unite a company with over 1,850 sites and over 34,000 employees – “we were particularly impressed with their direction and support for managers, and the smart targets the company has set for itself to ensure employees feel a part of the team regardless of where they work day to day”.
November 2015: Sodexo in partnership with AstraZeneca has won the Partners in FM Corporate award. Judges found an impressive partnership underpinned by shared values and common goals. The judges recognised Sodexo’s focus on continual improvement and operational excellence, which has helped the client AstraZeneca achieve its strategic objectives.
April 2015: Sodexo has been recognised for the second consecutive year for its commitment to gender balance as one of The Times Top 50 Employers for Women. The Times Top 50 Employers for Women is compiled though a partnership between The Times and Opportunity Now, the gender campaign within Business in the Community.
November 2014: Sodexo in partnership with Unilever has won the Partners in FM Corporate – International category for the successful launch of Unilever’s European Facilities Management Transformation. Judges recognised the worldwide FM transformation programme for its creation of best-in-class workplaces that attract and retain the best talent, improve efficiency and reduce costs.

June 2013: Sodexo won the Waste Management and Reduction category at this year’s Footprint Awards for the work carried out at Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust where we deliver catering and FM services and serve over 4,395 meals a day.
May 2013: Sodexo picked up the Workplace Sandwich Provider of the Year 2013 title for its ‘Delifresh’ brand, served to customers across its healthcare, education, defence, prestige and corporate services clients.
