Partner Inclusion Program

We will promote the economic development of diverse and inclusive businesses through our Partner Inclusion Program in all the countries where we operate.

Supply Chain Inclusion Program

Why Does Sodexo Engage?

Small- and Medium-sized Enterprises (SME’s) are key engines for growth and job creation in most countries, accounting for up to 70% of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and 70-90% of total employment. By supporting SME’s, Sodexo’s business model contributes to economic growth and job creation and provides innovative products and services to its stakeholders.

How Does Sodexo Engage?

The Partner Inclusion Program leverages best practices from Sodexo operations around the world in support of a commitment that all countries will develop strong and sustainable relationships with suppliers in at least one of the following categories:

  • small- and medium-sized Enterprises (SME’s), including social and micro-enterprises;
  • suppliers from minority and other under-represented and/or protected groups, with an emphasis on women-owned businesses;
  • major Sodexo suppliers demonstrating a diverse workforce composition, actively embracing diversity and inclusion and promoting local supply chain inclusion.

In addition, our Benefits and Rewards activity offers significant opportunities for SME’s to develop their business as Sodexo partners.

Local development in Peru

Nearly 85 of Sodexo’s clients in Peru operate in remote, regional sites, many of which are under-developed. Through the Sodexo Association for Sustainable Development, Sodexo is contributing to the economic development of local communities, helping to build capacity in remote areas and boost local skills, production and prosperity.

A 1 Billion U.S. Dollar Commitment

By 2017, Sodexo has pledged to purchase more than $1 billion U.S. of products and services from almost 5,000 small- to medium-sized businesses in 40 countries, with 1,500 of those businesses owned and operated by women. The economic impact of this action is projected to support more than 250,000 jobs over the next three years.
