Decompression

DecompressionWe provide a wide range of services to British Forces personnel serving in Cyprus and also to troops during ‘decompression’ in Cyprus on their way home from  operational deployment.

British troops returning from operational deployment  to Operation Herrick in Afghanistan spend a few days in Cyprus on the way home.  The aim of decompression is to provide service personnel a safe and friendly environment in which they can wind down prior to rejoining family and friends at home.

During decompression in Cyprus, Sodexo helps to provide some of the services offered to returning troops including a full English breakfast on arrival, a 12 hour turn-around laundry service, towels and bedding and in-flight meals for the journey home.

Personnel also receive a complimentary wash kit  from the Sodexo team so they all have new, clean items to use. The welcome pack includes shampoo and shower gel, a dental kit, a shaving kit, nail clippers, chocolate and chewing gum.
