People with Disabilities
At Sodexo, we want to create a work environment where people can bring their whole selves to work – this includes those with disabilities, individuals who are often overlooked.
Diversity and inclusion is fundamental to our business strategy and a cornerstone of our culture. In 2015, Sodexo committed to providing 100% of our workforce with access to programs for people with disabilities (PWD) by the year 2025.
This means that in all countries where Sodexo operates, we will establish measurable initiatives to promote the recruitment, engagement and development of PWD, within the parameters of local laws and policies.
Johnpaul Dimech, Asia Pacific Region Chair, Sodexo:
“We are very open to integrating people with disabilities into the workplace, and we will continue to do more because I think there is an untapped workforce.”

Since 2013, our team in China has been working with the Disabled Persons’ Federation of various regions, special education schools and vocational schools for meaningful collaborations.
In 2017, Sodexo joined hands with ihear, a communications platform for the deaf and mute by launching a public training programme for aspiring baristas.
Offered to the deaf and mute community, the empowering barista training was a stepping-stone for talented individuals to look for suitable jobs and better integrate with the society.
