In reaction to the earthquake in Türkiye in February 2023 which has had catastrophic consequences
We have initiated the following actions:

Launch of the “Share the meal” donation page with WFP. It will be available from today for our employees and our external network (Sodexo ecosystem). The objective is to reach 50,000 meals distributed in the area.

Launch of Emergency Funds for our partner associations, CARE and Global Food Banking Network, to assess and secure the best use of these emergency funds.
3. Sodexo’s OSS Türkiye teams who as a first step, are mobilizing to support disaster victims in the region through the distribution of sandwiches. We have supported Sodexo’s OSS Türkiye teams in their needs for kitchen equipment and funding for a mobile kitchen to serve hot meals in the days after the tragic event. From the very first day, Sodexo’s OSS Türkiye teams were mobilized to support disaster victims in the region through the distribution of sandwiches.
4. In addition, Sodexo BRS Türkiye planed, in partnership with a local NGO, to produce food cards that were distributed by the association to vulnerable people, once restaurants have reopened. Stop Hunger has partially supported the funding of this initiative.
