Women in Leadership: Cultivating a Strong Community

  • This International Women’s Day we are highlighting two strong women leaders at Sodexo, Daniah Robertson and Robbi Stiell.

    This International Women’s Day we are celebrating the achievements of women at Sodexo who inspire employees to reach their full potential.  We sat down with Daniah Robertson and Robbi Stiell to learn more about what brought them to Sodexo and the reasons why they continue to stay.

     

    Daniah Robertson – VP Finance Corporate Services and Energy & Resources US

    Daniah_image_6487327.jpgDaniah said yes to working at Sodexo after recognizing the growth potential for employees. She came in looking for a position that would allow her the autonomy to promote change and Sodexo offered her just that. Stepping into the VP Finance Corporate Services and Energy & Resources role allowed Daniah to use high levels of innovation on projects and experience different daily tasks.

    “Sodexo embodies a great community and provides amazing support for its women leaders,” Daniah shares.

    Daniah is cultivating an environment where new women feel welcome and comfortable to ask questions. She continues to do that by fostering open communication and providing mentorship. As her passions drive her forward, she remains committed to creating a supportive community for the professional growth of women in her field.  

     

    Robbi Stiell – Vice President SodexoMagic

    Robbi 1.jpgRobbi joined Sodexo for the chance to be part of an organization that showcases diversity in numerous aspects. As Vice President of SodexoMagic, she can utilize her skills and gain exposure to various business segments.

    “Sodexo invests in its people and focuses on evolving as an organization and always being open to change,” Robbi shares.

    Robbi lives her values and embraces daily challenges at Sodexo. She values connecting with other women in the company through Employee Business Resource Groups (EBRGs), sharing stories with team members, and actively supporting the accomplishments of her female colleagues.

    “It’s important to build relationships across a variety of roles and functions to gain a better perspective and understand your fellow employees better. Always invest in yourself because what you bring to the table can help you and your organization,” Robbi exclaims.
